Marshall Community Services Classes & Courses

Tiger Girls Varsity/JV Tennis Camp will be held July 17-21 (Monday through Friday) from 4:00pm-5:00pm at the Marshall High School tennis courts.  This camp will develop each player’s individual skills as they prepare for the fall tennis season.  Fee: $35 per player.


 


Golf Lessons will be held July 17 – 21 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) at the Driving Range.  Children ages 7-17 will meet from 4:00pm-4:50pm or 5:00pm-5:50pm.  Adults will meet from 6:00pm-7:00pm.  Participants will be instructed on grip, stance, posture, chipping, putting, full swing, etiquette and rules.  Fee: $30 per person.


 


Talents Academy Class “Totally Tie Dye” will be held July 17-July 21 (Monday-Friday) at the Marshall High School.  Grades 5-8 will meet from 10:30am-12:00pm, and grades 1-4 will meet from 1:00-2:30pm.  Several techniques will be utilized to make great gifts for your friends and family.  Fee: $40 per person – plus a $5 material fee payable to the instructor at the first class.


 


Talents Academy Class “Kid Chefs” will be held July 17-21 (Monday-Friday) at the Marshall High School.  Grades 1-4 will meet from 10:30am-12:00pm, and grades 5-8 will meet from 1:00-2:30pm.  Participants will prepare and enjoy “real food” that is both nutritious and delicious.  Fee: $40 per person – plus a $10 supply fee payable to the instructor at the first class.


 


Talents Academy Class “Fun Food for Kids” will be held July 24-28 (Monday-Friday) at the Marshall High School.  Grades 5-8 will meet from 10:30am-12:00pm, and grades 1-4 will meet from 1:00-2:30pm.  Learn how to create fun and healthy foods including snacks.  Fee: $40 per person – plus a $10 supply fee payable to the instructor at the first class.


 


Talents Academy Class “3D Magic and Design” will be held July 24-28 (Monday-Friday) at the Marshall High School.  Grades 4-8 will meet from 1:00pm-2:30pm.  Join this course to learn more about 3D printing and the programs that go with the printer – take your print home!  Fee: $45 per person.


 


Talents Academy Class “Multi-Media Crafts and More!” will be held July 24-28 (Monday-Friday) at the Marshall High School.  Grades 5-8 will meet from 10:30am-12:00pm, and grades 1-4 will meet from 1:00-2:30pm.  Class will explore drawing, painting and sculpture with materials such as charcoal, pastels, clay and more.  Fee: $40 per person – plus a $5 material fee payable to the instructor at the first class.


 


Kid’s Kboodles! (for ages 3-5) will be held July 24-August 3 (Monday through Thursday) at MMS ECFE/Little Cubs classrooms and gym from 9:00am-10:20am or 10:40am-12:00pm.  Children will interact with others in fun engaging activities including large group story time and music, gross motor activities, free choice and more.  Fee: $40 per person.


 


Swimming Training Camp at the MAC will be held July 24-August 10 (Mondays through Thursdays) from 6:30-8:30am at the Marshall Aquatic Center.  This camp for boys and girls ages 12 and up is designed to help high school swimmers stay in shape before the high school swim season begins.  Focus will be on general endurance, strength, and technique.  Fee: $45 per person.


 


Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Morning lessons will be held July 31-August 10 (Monday through Thursday) at the Marshall Aquatic Center – outdoor pool.  Levels 1-6 are offered at 9:00am and 10:00am.  Level 1 lessons will last 40 minutes.  Level 2-6 lessons will last 50 minutes.  Fee: $35 per person.  Private swim lessons will be from 8:15-8:45am and 11:00am-11:30am.  Fee $60 per person.


 


3 on 3 Youth Hockey League will begin the week of July 31st at the Red Baron Arena & Expo.  This 3 on 3 hockey league puts players in the middle of the action all the time.  Squirts/10U/Mites will meet on Mondays.  Pee Wee/12U will meet on Tuesdays.  Bantam/High School boys and girls will meet on Wednesdays.  All leagues will meet from 5:30-6:30pm.  Fee: $40 per player ($20 for goalies).


 


Talents Academy Class “Advanced 3D Magic and Design” will be held July 31-August 4 (Monday-Friday) at the Marshall High School.  Grades 4-8 will meet from 9:00am-10:30am.  This course is designed to take what you learned in 3D Magic and Design to the next level.  Fee: $45 per person.


 


Fall Football Programs: Marshall Community Services is now accepting registrations for fall football programs: 7th-8th Grade Football, 5th-6th Grade Football, 5th Grade Football Orientation Clinic, 2nd-4th Grade Jr. Flag Football and Skills & Drills Jr. Tiger Football Camp for Grades K-2.  MCS will be utilizing a new registration program beginning with our fall activities, which includes our football programs.  To access the new registration program, please visit www.ci.marshall.mn.us – click on “MCS Football Registration” under Community Services.  You can also call the MCS office at 507-537-6767 to register or with questions.


 


MCS Red Baron Arena Evening Open Skate will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00am-1:00pm and on Tuesday evenings from 8:00pm-10:00pm.  Open Adult Hockey will be held on Thursday evenings from 8:30pm-10:00pm.  Admission for open skate and open hockey is $5 per skater with rental skates available for $3.
