5 Tools to Breakthrough Negativity will be held on Monday, April 23 from
5:30-7:30pm at the Adult Community Center.
Retrain your mindset so you can stop the spin cycle of negative thoughts
and instead create the outcome you desire in life. Fee: $20 per person.
Icky, Sticky...Creating More Fun will be held on Tuesday, April 24 from
3:30-5:00pm at the Marshall Middle School Art Room for boys and girls in grades
3-8. Kids will have the chance to get
hands-on messy with bubbles, ooze and more.
Fee: $10 per person.
Clicking with K9’s Dog Obedience will be held on Tuesday evenings April 24
through May 29. Class is 6 sessions: 1 orientation session at the Adult
Community Center without dogs (4/24) and 5 training sessions with dogs at Lyon
County Fairgrounds (5/1-5/29). Focus is
on basic obedience and manners. Dogs will learn sit, stay, come when called,
settle on mat, targeting, polite leash walking and more. Needed for class: 6 ft
leash, flat buckle collar or harness, towel or mat for dog, clean-up bags,
treat bag and clicker. There is a $2 fee
for clickers, due orientation night. Dogs must be licensed and vaccinated for
distemper/parvo, rabies, Bordetella and influenza. Fee: $40 per person.
What is an iPad? will be held on Tuesday, April 24 and
Thursday, April 26 from 7:00pm-9:00pm at the Marshall Middle School (media
center). Make the fundamental elements
of your iPad better. Bring your
iPad. Fee: $45 per person.
Know Your Credit will be held on Thursday, April 26 from
6:00-8:00pm at the Adult Community Center.
Learn how credit works, tools that are available to build credit,
budgeting tools and keeping good credit once it has been established. Fee: $10 per person.
Outdoor Soccer Skills
Camp for boys and girls in Preschool through 3rd grade will be
held at Freedom Park.
Preschool-Kindergarten will be held on Mondays from April 30-May 21 from
4:00-4:30pm, 4:30-5:00pm OR 5:00-5:30pm.
Grades 1-3 will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from May 1-May 17 from
4:00-4:45pm OR 5:00-5:45pm. This program
provides instruction on ball handling, dribbling, kicking, passing and
receiving. Fee: $25 for
Preschool-Kindergarten and $35 for grades 1-3.
ECFE – Everyday Rhythm (for birth – 5 years with a parent) will
be held on Tuesdays (May 1-29) at the Marshall Lyon County Library at
10:15am. Fun for parents and children
using a variety of instruments, music and movement. There is no fee for this class, but please
pre-register with Marshall Community Services.
Garden Plot Rentals
are available through Marshall Community Services. The City of Marshall and MMU offer garden
plots near the Marshall Water Plant for $35 to Marshall residents. The plots will be tilled at the beginning of
the season, with gardeners agreeing to plant, maintain and remove all plants
and other materials by mid-October.
Water is available onsite.
Marshall Middle School After School Program is open to all 5th-8th
grade students and meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:05pm-5:00pm at the
Marshall Middle School. This program
will run through the end of the school year – for only $40!
Red Baron Arena Evening Open Skate will be held on
Friday and Saturday evenings from 7:00pm-10:00pm and on Sunday evenings from
7:00pm-9:00pm. Open Adult Hockey will be
held on Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm-9:00pm.
Admission for open skate and open hockey is $5 per skater with rental
skates available for $3. Open Family
Skate will be held on Sunday afternoons from 2:00-4:00pm as the facility
schedule permits. Admission for Open
