Marshall Community Services Classes & Courses

How to Stop Worrying will be held on Monday, October 15 from 6:30pm-8:00pm at the Adult Community Center.  Join us to learn how to train your brain to turn off worry thoughts so you can be more relaxed and look at life from a less fearful perspective.  Fee: $20 per person.

Watercolor Painting will be held on Tuesday, October 16 from 6:00pm-8:00pm in the Art Room (D1) at the Marshall Middle School. During this class, you will learn how to paint beautiful fall botanicals, perfect for decorating your house for the season or to give as a gift. Fee: $35 per person.

From Basic to Advanced Digital Photography – Level 3: Experienced will be held from 4:45pm-6:45pm at the Adult Community Center. Participants can choose from two different dates to attend: Friday, October 19 or Saturday, October 20. This class is designed to take you from learning the basics about photography all the way through more advanced photography techniques and skills. Fee: $40 per person.

Bodyworks: Stretch and Tone will be held on Mondays and Thursdays (October 22-November 15) from 5:30-6:30pm at the Adult Community Center. This class will use stretches, balances, pilates and yoga positions to strengthen and tone the core. Fee: $50 per person.

Junior Engineer – Bridges will be held on Tuesday, October 23 from 3:30pm-5:00pm at the Marshall Middle School. You will work in teams to design your project, test it, adjust it and then repeat as you try to optimize you design. Fee: $10 per person.

Microsoft Excel will be held from 6:00pm-9:00pm in the Marshall Middle School Media Center on Tuesday, October 23. Microsoft Excel has so many everyday uses – from lists to budgets and more. Fee: $50 per person.

Marshall Middle School After School Program will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Marshall Middle School from 3:05pm-5:00pm beginning Tuesday, October 23. Activities for students in grades 5-8 will include: activity room, indoor/outdoor sports, art, STEM activities, cooking, crafts, service learning and more. Snack will be provided. Fee: $40 per semester or $70 per school year.

Learn to Skate Lessons will begin on Saturday, October 27 at the Red Baron Arena & Expo. Lessons, available for preschool children and up, will be held on Saturday mornings through December 8.

Driver Education Classroom: The next classroom session of Driver Education will be held October 28 through November 17. The program will begin with a Parent/Teen session on Sunday, October 28 at 6:30pm at the Marshall Middle School, and classroom sessions will be held at the MERIT Center. Students must be age 14 before they begin the classroom.


Cricut Projects for Beginners will be held on Tuesday, October 9 from 6:00pm-7:30pm at Treasured Times (313 West Main Street).  You will learn how to make basic cuts using a cricut machine to create a design for home décor using vinyl and barn wood.  Fee: $20 per person.


Windows Workshop will be held on Tuesday, October 9 from 7:00pm-9:00pm in the Marshall Middle School Media Center.  Learn more about your computer’s settings, keyboard shortcuts and more.  Fee: $40 per person.
