1st. Watch your mailboxes for it!
Tips, Tools and Techniques will be held on Saturday, April 20 from 10:30am-12:00pm at Treasured
Times (313 West Main Street). You will create three different cards using both the basics and some
new products. Fee: $15 per person.
Firearms Safety Training will be held in the Lyon County Law Enforcement Center basement.
Registration will begin at 6:00pm on Monday, April 22. Classes will be held from 6:30pm-9:00pm on
April 22, 25, 29, May 2, 6 and 9 (Mondays and Thursdays). The class range date will be held from
12:00pm-5:00pm on Saturday, May 11. Students must be age 11 before the beginning of class and
must pre-register with Marshall Community Services before the class starts. Fee: $7.50 per person.
Gentle Yoga will be held on April 23-May 28 (Tuesdays) from 5:30pm-6:30pm at the Adult Community
Center. You will mostly be using seated postures to help you relax fully, get a long stretch, and focus
on being rather than doing. Fee: $45 per session.
Healthy and Green Living Expo will be held on Saturday, April 27 from 9:00am-5:00pm at the Red
Baron Arena & Expo. This year’s Expo will feature Farm Girl Fresh! Co-Owners, Joyce Kaping and
Colleen Anderson will hold an interactive demonstration that goes from growing, to preserving, to
preparing healthy and whole food meals. They will also have their new book and other healthy eating
merchandise available for sale.
Outdoor Soccer Skills Camp will be held at Freedom Park. Boys and girls in Kindergarten and 1st
grade have the option of attending from 4:00pm-4:30pm OR 4:30pm-5:00pm on Mondays from April
29-May 20 for $25 per person. Boys and girls in grades 2-3 have the option of attending from 4:00pm -4:45pm OR 5:00pm-5:45pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays from April 30-May 16 for $35 per person.
Cooking Up Science (for grades 3-5) will be held on Thursday, May 2 from 3:30pm-5:00pm at the
Marshall Middle School. Explore basic biology, chemistry and physics using common items from the
kitchen. Fee: $8 per person.
