Introduction to Playing the Ukulele and More will be held on Saturday, February 24 from 10:00am-11:00am at The Note Gallery (356 West Main Street).  You can learn how to play the ukulele in just one session!  Fee: $12.50 per person if you have a ukulele OR an additional $70 to purchase your own ukulele kit. 


Introduction to Guitar 101 (for ages 10 and up) will be held from 6:30pm-7:30pm at the Note Gallery (356 West Main Street) on Mondays from February 26-March 12.  Learn the basics of guitar playing while having fun and meeting new friends.  Fee: $35 per person.


Pause into Your Power through Mindfulness will be held on Monday, February 26 OR Monday, March 5 from 5:30-7:00pm at the Adult Community Center.  Fay Prairie will demonstrate how mindfulness can help you feel more satisfied and happy – even improving your immune system and reducing your chances for heart disease or cancer!  Research shows that mindfulness is extremely effective as a means of increasing your mental and physical health by giving you the capacity to deal effectively with adverse situations.  Fee: $20 per person.


ECFE-FUNdamentals (for birth-5 years with a parent) will be held on Mondays (February 26 – May 21) from 6:00pm-7:30pm at the ECFE Office in the Marshall Middle School.  Fee: $48 per family (Sliding fee scale applies to this class.)


Beginning Hockey will be held on Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30pm-6:30pm from February 26 through March 22 at the Red Baron Arena & Expo.  This program is for boys and girls ages 4 through 4th grade who have no previous organized hockey experience to have fun and be introduced to the sport of hockey.  Fee: $40 per person.


Icky, Sticky….Creating More Fun will be held from 3:30-5:00pm on Tuesday, February 27 at the Marshall Middle School for boys and girls in grades 3-8.  Kids will have the chance to get hands-on messy with bubbles, ooze and more.  Fee: $10 per person.


ECFE-Renegade Rules (for birth-5 years with a parent) will be held on Thursdays (March 1-22) from 4:30-6:00pm at the ECFE Office in the Marshall Middle School.  Fee: $16 per family (Sliding fee scale applies to this class.)


Introduction to Line Dancing will be held on Sundays (March 4-25) from 2:00pm-3:00pm in the West Side School Gym.  Because the steps are simple and do not involve dancing with a partner, line dancing is ideal for singles and non-dancers – it is great exercise and lots of fun!  Fee: $25 per person. 


Babysitting Training Course will be held on Mondays (March 5 – 26) from 3:30pm-5:00pm at the Marshall Middle School.  Designed for 11-15 year olds, this course will teach what every parent wants in a safe and responsible babysitter:  the business of babysitting, ways to entertain children of all ages, first aid and emergency procedures, infant/toddler care and feeding, including diapering.  Fee: $20 per person.


The 6th Annual Moms’ Expo will be held in the evening on Thursday, April 5 at the Marshall High School.  Keynote speaker: Annie Wing on “The Comparison Trap”.  The goal of the Moms’ Expo is to help mothers of all ages and stages of parenting to enjoy parenting and everyday life more: by finding balance, having realistic expectations of themselves and their children, and living in the moment.  Join local mothers as they discuss specific topics.  Visit (click on Moms’ Expo under Community Services) for more information– including schedule, presenters and small group topics.  Fee (if registered by March 5): $20 per person.  Fee (if registered after March 5): $30 per person – dinner is included in the fee.


Marshall Middle School After School Program is open to all 5th-8th grade students and meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:05pm-5:00pm at the Marshall Middle School.  This program will run through the end of the school year – for only $40! 


MCS Red Baron Arena Evening Open Skate will be held on Friday and Saturday evenings from 7:00pm-10:00pm and on Sunday evenings from 7:00pm-9:00pm.  Open Adult Hockey will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm-9:00pm.  Admission for open skate and open hockey is $5 per skater with rental skates available for $3.  Open Family Skate will be held on Sunday afternoons from 2:00-4:00pm as the facility schedule permits.  Admission for Open Family Skate is $4 per person (fee includes skates).  Please visit for up to date Open Skate hours.
