Sweet Treats will be held June 17-21 (Monday-Friday) at the Marshall High School. Grades 2-4 will meet from 10:30am-12:00pm, and grades 5-8 will meet from 1:00pm-2:30pm. Learn to bake, decorate and create a different treat to take home to your family each day. Fee: $35 per person – an additional $10 supply fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.

MHS Tiger Speech Team’s Introduction to Competitive Speech for grades 6-9 will be held June 17-21 (Monday-Friday) from 10:30am-12:00pm at the Marshall High School. Participants will be introduced to the activity of competitive speech – learning about the speaking events that are offered (humorous, serious, informative, etc.) and crafting their own speech. Fee: $35 per person.

Pioneer Camp will be held on June 17-21 (Monday through Friday) from 9:30am-11:30am. Monday will be held at the one room schoolhouse behind West Side School. Tuesday-Friday will be held at the Lyon County Museum. Come explore life as a pioneer through a variety of games and activities. Fee: $40 per person.

Basic Self-Defense will be held on Mondays (June 17, 24, July 8 &15) at the Adult Community Center. Ages 16-18 will meet from 6:00pm-7:00pm, and adults (ages 18 and up) will meet from 7:15pm-8:15pm. Participants will learn various sweeps, arm locks, kicks, strikes and joint manipulation. Fee: $45 per person.

Plein Air Painting for adults will be held on Tuesday, June 18 and Thursday, June 20 from 9:00am- 3:00pm at Liberty Park. Participants will paint the environment around them using oil-based paints. Fee: $60 per person.

PiYo - Tuesdays will be held on Tuesdays (June 18, 25, July 9 & 16) at the Adult Community Center. Participants have the option of attending from 6:00pm-7:00pm OR 7:15pm-8:15pm. PiYo combines the Pilates benefits such as muscle-sculpting and strengthening of the core with Yoga movements that focus on strength and flexibility. Fee: $45 per person.

Senior Self-Defense Class: Self-Defense for those 55+ will be held on Saturdays (June 22 and 29) at the Adult Community Center from 9:30am-10:30am. This class will give participants the foundation to use and practice basic techniques that can be used to defend oneself against an attacker. Fee: $25 per person.

Golf Lessons will be held June 24-28 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) at the Driving Range. Children ages 7-17 will meet from 3:00pm-3:50pm or 4:00pm-4:50pm. Adults will meet from 5:00pm-6:00pm. Participants will be instructed on grip, stance, posture, chipping, putting, full swing, etiquette and rules. Fee: $30 per person.

Art Camp for grades 5-8 will be held June 24-28 (Monday-Friday) from 3:30pm-5:00pm in the Marshall Middle School Art Room. Participants will experience a large variety of art techniques while being creative in this hands-on class. Fee: $40 per person.

Beginning Horsemanship will be held June 24-28 (Monday-Friday) at Meadow Creek Stable (2109 County Road 9 in Marshall). Ages 6-10 will meet from 9:00am-10:00am. Ages 11-15 will meet from 10:30am-11:30am. Participants will learn horse care which includes handling, grooming, feeding and even riding. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from class. Fee: $70 per person.

Kid Chef will be held June 24-28 (Monday-Friday) at the Marshall High School. Grades 1-4 will meet from 10:30am-12:00pm, and grades 5-8 will meet from 1:00pm-2:30pm. Participants will prepare and enjoy “real food” that is both nutritious and delicious! Fee: $35 per person – an additional $10 supply fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.

Let’s Get Cookin’ Camp will be held June 24-28 (Monday-Friday) from 1:00pm-2:30pm in the Marshall Middle School FACS Room. This camp, for ages 4-7, allows children to create and share something to eat at each class. Fee: $35 per person – an additional $10 supply fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.

Lego Engineering for grades 5-8 will be held June 24-27 (Monday-Thursday) from 1:00pm-2:30pm at the Marshall Middle School. Learn about transmissions, suspensions and enjoy a bridge challenge. Fee: $35 per person.
