Will you help us Stuff the Bus?

7/9/2018
Stuff the Bus means that a child can create an art project using their school supplies and can take it home safely in their backpack.  It means that a middle or high school student can have plenty of notebook paper and folders to complete a project or take notes in class.

Stuff the Bus is coordinated by United Way of Southwest Minnesota (UWSWMN) and includes public, private and charter schools in the UWSWMN service area. Generous support from the community also makes this annual initiative successful. Multiple churches, organizations, businesses and employee groups also collect supplies and financial donations.

What do we need?
The collected supplies and backpacks will be distributed to participating schools within the UWSWMN service area. School staff ensure the supplies reach those who really need some extra support. In 2017, approximately 4,000 students at 26 schools were helped through the initiative, and a record breaking 62,181 school supplies were distributed. The community need continues to grow for this valuable effort. Supplies will be sorted and packed onAugust 8th. Those in need of supplies should contact their respective school district beginning on August 13th for details regarding distribution.
