I heard a beauty school was going in to the Savvy Salon building where K-Nails & Wax was. Is that True?

We contacted Kristy Brusven with Savvy Salon and found out she is opening a Full Service Salon called Salon 101 that offers continued education in Salon Management. The new Salon will be in the area vacated by K-Nails & Wax. It is going to be a place for Cosmetologists who have graduated from college with their Cosmetologist License to receive continuing education in Salon Management and Advance Techniques training. The goal of this salon is to produce successful Managers who can be independent contractors or owners of their own business. Salon 101 is a full service salon that offers clients the convenience of having extended hours and days that are open during the week. Salon 101 has 8 new stylists looking to assist clients with their hair, skin and nail care needs. The Salon will be open Mondays: 1pm-9pm, Tuesdays-Thursdays: 9am-9pm, Fridays: 9am-8pm and Saturdays: 9am-5pm.
Salon 101 will be located in a separate area with in the Savvy Salon & Spa building.

I heard there is a new Dog Park opening soon in Marshall.
 Is that true?

We contacted Cam Bailey at Marshall Community Services and Cam filled us in on the new "Dog Run" planned for Marshall. The planned Dog Run site is located behind the Marshall Fire Department between the Marshall Middle School and the YMCA adjacent to the Tiger Lake Retention Pond. The location is ideal as it is not directly next to a residential area. The fencing is in place and plans call for the grass to be seeded this fall with the planned opening of the Dog Run for Spring of 2012. In order to create a desirable environment for the Dog Run, a fundraising committee has been formed to raise funds for benches, lighting, watering access etc. We have attached a flyer on the Dog Run with contact information on how you can contribute to the new Dog Run in Marshall.

Who is going into the building next to Independent Lumber?
We found out today that  Kesteloot Enterprises has opened up an additional
outlet at that location.   Kesteloot Enterprises, Inc. carries a variety of equipment from
tractors to lawn mowers.

I see a Breyfogle Auto Sales sign in he former Marshall Auto Mall business.   Are they moving there?
 
We contacted Breyfogle Auto Sales and we were told that they will be moving over this weekend and should be open  Monday July 18th.   Good Luck to Breyfogle in your new location!

Update on Wooden Nickel

We contacted the folks at the Wooden Nickel and found out they hope to be open
 by St. Patrick's Day.  The roof needs to be removed and replaced.  As you can imagine the weather can change the tentative date even more!

I heard from several people this week that Kohl's stated they were were opening a store in Marshall.  Do you have any update on that?

We spoke with Christie Wolfe from Kohl's Department store.
While many of you would like a Kohl's in Marshall you will just have to keep waiting.
I suspect someday they will come but at this point Christie says they have not
announced any plans to open a store in Marshall.

Do you have any update on Quizno's?  I thought they were opening soon.

We spoke with Greg Harmon the local Regional Manager for Quizno's and we were
told that Quizno's has decided to pass on opening a store in that location.

I heard the Buffalo Wild Wings is coming to Marshall.  Is that True?

We spoke with Buffalo Wild Wings Corporate office in Wayzata, MN and
 we were told that Buffalo Wild Wings has no plans to open a location in Marshall.
However, they do plan on opening several hundred stores in the next few years!
Not sure if Marshall will be one of those...
