Marshall Middle School After School Program registration has started.  This program is open to all 5th-8th grades and meets Mondays through Thursdays from 3:05pm-6:00pm at the Marshall Middle School.  To register for this program, please pick up a form in the Marshall Middle School Office.

 

Beginning Spanish I with MHS Spanish teacher Jon Cram will be held on Monday evenings from 6:30pm-8:00pm from October 6 through November 3 in the Marshall High School Spanish room.  Learn to speak and understand Spanish through a communicative methodology that uses interactive and conversational sessions and activities to help learn basic vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation.  This class has been expanded, so we now have more openings available!

 

Introduction to Drum Circle will be held on Monday evenings from 6:00pm-7:00pm on October 6 and October 13 at Van’s Sound Room.  Learn the basics to intermediate rhythm patterns on various percussion instruments, including congas, bongos, djembe, doumbek, maracas, tambourines, and many more.

 

Introduction to Guitar will be held on Tuesdays from October 7 through October 28 from 7:00pm-8:00pm at Van’s Sound Room.  Learn the basics of playing a guitar while having fun – learn some simple songs.

 

Learn to Skate Lessons will begin on Saturday, October 11 at the Schwan’s Ice Arena.  Lessons, available for preschool children and up, will be held on Saturday mornings through December 13.

 

Managing Your Retirement Assets: The Hows and Wows will be held on Monday, October 13 at 6:30pm at the Marshall High School.  Explore your options regarding the distribution of your retirement assets. 

 

Driver Education Session 5A & 5B will be held October 20 through November 17 at the Marshall Middle School.  This program will meet on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays after school and on Saturday mornings.

 

Boomer Nation Energy Efficiency Class will be held on Monday, November 17, 2008 beginning at 7:00pm at the Marshall Utilities office. There is no cost to attend; however, we do ask that interested participants contact us in advance so that enough materials are available. Refreshments will be served.  Several local energy experts will be on hand presenting their energy efficiency thoughts, suggestions, tip and techniques which are guaranteed to save you money. Smart energy practices like turning off the lights, TVs, computers and electronics will make a difference. Please mark your calendars and call 507-537-6767 to reserve your spot today. Don’t miss it!
